Teeluckingh has established herself as a leader not only in Philadelphia, but in the global community. After becoming President of GPA in 2011, she was integral in Philadelphia’s procurement of World Heritage City status in 2015, becoming the first World Heritage City in the United States and joining the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC), a network of nations that prioritizes preservation, cultural exchange, and collaboration on international initiatives.
