Red, White & Blue To Do: Making Political Cartoons

event flyer

The first-ever Red, White, & Blue To-Do celebration is taking place on July 2, commemorating a day of “pomp and parade,” as declared by John Adams in 1776. Various cultural and historical sites across Philadelphia are participating, including HSP. Learn more here.

Drop in throughout the day to make your own political cartoon. Need inspiration? Our exhibit, Cartoons as Political Speech in Colonial and Contemporary America, will be on view. At 2 PM, Signe Wilkinson will lead a demonstration of her own practice in designing cartoons. All ages welcome!
