Migrated automatically.

In October 2022, the Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan Charitable Trust (Trust) will be leading a city-wide effort to recognize and celebrate Rev. Leon Sullivan’s 100th Birthday, highlighting his legacy and ongoing local and global impact as a civil rights and social justice activist.

We are inviting organizations and institutions in Philadelphia to join the Trust and the City of Philadelphia in honoring Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan’s centennial legacy by planning your own celebratory events to occur in October 2022. Events could focus on celebrating Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan’s life, entrepreneurship, job training, community-based economic development, empowerment in the Black community, or other themes that Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan represented. Your events will be included in the Leon H. Sullivan 100th Birthday Celebration Calendar, which will be distributed to the media and promoted city-wide.

We invite you, as an organization or an individual, to submit a brief recorded video message of how you were inspired by Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan and share your thoughts on the relevance of his philosophies as solutions to our current social and economic inequities.

Your video will be part of the Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan Centennial Celebration video wall soon to be created on the Trust website. Please visit thesullivantrust.org for more information.

The video can be filmed on a phone or webcam, be in a landscape (horizontal) format, but may not exceed 60 seconds in length. The deadline for this video message is September 16, 2022. Please include your name, title, and organization with your video message.
