Hayley J. Boyle is the Senior Vice President of Programs at the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, a role she began in February 2023. Hayley is a highly motivated and results-oriented senior-level nonprofit manager. She has a proven track record in developing, implementing, and overseeing impactful educational programs, exchanges, and projects focused on international affairs and cultural understanding. She is skilled in contract negotiation, staff management, process improvement, strategic partnership development, and operational excellence.
In her current role, she oversees strategy, development, and implementation for all of World Affairs’ adult-facing programs, including its Speaker Events, the International Visitor Leadership Program and other professional exchanges, the Global Leadership Institute professional development program, and the partnership with the City of Philadelphia for the Sister Cities program. Her role also works in close alignment with World Affairs’ world travel program and its partnership with the Consular Corps Association of Philadelphia.
Hayley previously served as World Affairs’ Vice President of Programs and has held several other roles at the organization since 2011. She has served as one of World Affairs’ Tour Hosts to Cuba, the Amalfi Coast of Italy, the Baltic Sea region, and most recently to Madagascar, Mauritius, and Reunion Island. Her passion for connecting the world to Philadelphia has led her to serving on the Board of Directors for the Global Philadelphia Association as of June 2024.
From September 2023-May 2024, Hayley participated in the POWER of Professional Women’s Empower-U Mentoring Circle Program. She led the group’s volunteer program at Cradles to Crayons, and facilitated the group’s April discussion, “Leading with Impact: How Do I Show Up as a Leader?”
Outside of work, Hayley serves as the Arts Editor at Wild Greens Magazine, a monthly online literary and mixed-media magazine that she co-founded in October 2020. In addition to her position on the editorial team, she enjoys painting and writing in her free time. She is also an avid Ultimate Frisbee player and rock climber. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance (PADA), the region’s premier Ultimate Frisbee and disc sports association. She first served as PADA’s Board Secretary and, in January 2024, was unanimously voted to become Vice President of the Board, a role in which she performs staff oversight and management for the organization. She has served on PADA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee since January 2021 and became its Co-Chair in January 2023.
Hayley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from La Salle University, where she also participated in the Leadership and Global Understanding program, which included travel studies to Turkey and Argentina as well as a study abroad program in Rome, Italy. She lives in South Philadelphia with her husband, Evan Panek, and her dog, Birdie.
