[email protected] The Mexican Cultural Center (MCC) is the proud producer of Philadelphia’s official annual Mexican Independence Day Festival each September at Penn’s Landing. This event attracts upwards of 20,000 people and is the most successful of the Summer Series. The MCC celebrates and promotes Mexican culture through annual programming including Cinco De Mayo and Día de los Muertos events. Mexican Cultural Center events have included lectures about Mexican history, culture and traditions. Also there are music performances including popular, opera and folk by Mexican singers, pianist, chamber orchestra as well as Mexican dance performances like folkloric, and Aztec groups, cinematography, and others.
The Mexican Cultural Center is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization devoted to promoting understanding and awareness of the cultural and artistic diversity of Mexico and its influence in the Delaware Valley in the United States.
The Center is a supporter of the increasing Mexican Community in Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware and serves as a networking hub for those interested in Mexican Culture.
The MCC is supported by contributions from corporations, individuals, memberships and self generated revenue.
The Center works closely with the Mexican Consulate in Philadelphia but does not receive government funding.
