Young People's Continental Congress (2024)

event pic

In 1774, delegates from 12 of America’s 13 colonies met in Philadelphia at Carpenters’ Hall and voted to support a trade embargo against England, one of the first unified acts of defiance against the King. Echoing that historic moment in American history, the Young People’s Continental Congress welcomes students and teachers from around the country to Carpenters’ Hall for a week-long dive into history and civics. Delegates from the original 13 colonies come together in 2024 for discussions, before meeting again in 2025 with delegates from all 56 states and jurisdictions.
