The Welcoming Center’s Solas Awards

Please join us on Thursday, March 14th for The Welcoming Center’s Solas Awards.  

The Solas Awards is a place dedicated to the community where The Welcoming Center shines a light on immigrant contributions to our city and region. 

We invite you on March 14th at the historic Reading Terminal Market for a night of music, food, and networking. 

Each year, we select an honoree whose vision, voice, and achievements inspire us all. This year we are thrilled to honor Shirin Karsan, our long-time board member and donor, whose life and work embody what we seek to honor with the Solas Award. 

We're also pleased to introduce the first-ever Anne O'Callaghan Award. Named in honor of our esteemed founder, this award embodies the relentless perseverance and unwavering determination that defines our participants. Keep an eye out to see who will be awarded!

Dress code: This is a celebration of our diverse community. Please dress in celebratory business attire.

The Welcoming Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Philadelphia that promotes inclusive economic growth through immigrant integration. The organization develops programs that address barriers to immigrant integration and economic advancement in the region. The Welcoming Center collaborates with its participants, a broad spectrum of organizations, and public and private sector institutions to advance learning, shape policy, and grow the economy.
