Ukrainian Independence Folk Festival

A Celebration of Liberty and Unity
A Resplendent Outdoor Summer Concert Marking Ukraine’s Independence, the Unity of her People and Their Struggle for Freedom
The artists (dance troupes, musicians, singers and ensembles that have performed in previous years) have created a dynamic and integrated collaborative program. Recent events in Ukraine, the Euromaidan Protest and Revolution of Dignity as well as the Ukrainian peoples’ twilight struggle against unlawful, unjustified and heinous (indeed genocidal) Russian armed aggression, have forged a unified Ukrainian national identity, both in Ukraine and in the Diaspora. America’s support of Ukraine’s commitment to a self-determined democratic future - to life, liberty, freedom and justice – has created permanent bonds of friendship between the two nations. This year’s festival honors these special relationships and developments and robustly salutes the zeal, valor and dedication of the Ukrainian people.

The programs and activities of the Ukrainian American Sport Center, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit charitable institution, have woven it deeply into the fabric not only of its home in Horsham Township and Montgomery and Bucks Counties (we skirt the Montgomery and Bucks County border), but also the entire Philadelphia area and the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys. At great benefit to the general community, we provide a wealth of athletic, spiritual, cultural, and artistic programming that is open to the general public at no or comparatively minimal cost. We also add to the area’s natural beauty, providing acres of open space and a natural setting. The Center’s over 500 member families hale from all portions of the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys.
