Christie Jones

Christie R. Jones is the first African American and first female Executive Director of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the oldest lawyers' association in the United States. An accomplished non-profit executive, she previously served as Executive Director of the International Association of Women Judges. Her dedication to furthering human rights, access to justice, and the rule of law regionally, nationally, and expertise has allowed her to serve as a Conversationalist with the Reykjavik Global Forum (2023, 2024) and as a panelist at the UN General Assembly’s Advancing Women’s Leadership in Law and Economics 2023 convening.

The daughter of a former U.S. Ambassador, Ms. Jones was raised in Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Thailand, and Belgium and is proficient in both Spanish and French. She is a proud alumna of Bennett College and holds a Master of Science in peace operations policy and a Master of Philosophy (ABD) in conflict analysis and resolution, both from George Mason University. Ms. Jones is a member of the Forum for Executive Women; the Philadelphia250 Women’s Committee; the Urban League of Greater Philadelphia; the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia; and Sigma Gamma Rho, Sorority Inc.
