The American Chinese Museum

The American Chinese Museum is dedicated to promoting American Chinese history, art and culture to build mutual understanding, learning and respect among Philadelphia’s communities. 

Open everyday from 10am-4pm by email appointment, the museum also serves as a teaching and research center, creating meaningful impact on the surrounding community. By holding multiple forums and exhibitions, the museum highlights the cultural diversity in America and the Philadelphia region. 

Their current exhibitions touch on a wide range of topics, such as Chinese Immigration History, Friendly Interactions Between China and the US, and American Chinese Food. Admission is free for members and is $5 for the public.

In April of 2022, the museum was awarded the Philadelphia Historical Commission Historical Plaque, recognizing the importance of the building and its well preserved status.
