Sustainable Business Network

The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (SBN) is a 25+ year nonprofit working to build a just, green, and thriving local economy. We are guided by the Triple Bottom Line of People, Planet, and Prosperity, where sustainability is holistic and interconnected, the thread that runs equally through all three. A sustainable ecosystem, to us, is one that includes the people who often get left out, supports the independent businesses and communities at its heart, and builds shared prosperity, while protecting the planet alongside it. We carry this work through three pillars: Environmental Stewardship, Business Growth and Stability, and People Community and Prosperity. Across all of them, we deliver education, financial opportunity, advocacy, and community building so that local businesses and the people and communities they serve can prosper together.
