Special Walking Tour Added: Andalusia Historic House, Garden, & Arboretum

The estate, established in 1795 by John Craig, was expanded by the Biddle family, who have owned and preserved the property for five generations. The centerpiece is the Greek Revival "Big House," a National Historic Landmark, surrounded by formal gardens and a picturesque riverfront landscape. Discover exquisite interiors and hear stories of the family who lived at Andalusia from the 1790s to the 1970s, including Nicholas Biddle, President of the Second Bank of the United States. Stroll the spectacular formal gardens and native woodlands and explore the remnants of an 1830s greenhouse and other structures that dot the 50-acre property. End the tour with a glass of wine and other refreshments on the patio overlooking the gardens.
