Space Day Saturday at the Please Touch Museum

event flyer

Grab your space helmet! Space Day launches you into hands-on activities that explore rockets, planets, and the stars!

Embark on a cosmic journey with the Science History Institute as we delve into the mesmerizing realms of astronomy and space at the Please Touch Museum. Immerse yourself in the tools of the trade with a hands-on collection featuring telescopes, diffraction glasses, astrolabes, and armillary globes. Explore a tactile version of a James Webb Space Telescope image of Stephan’s Quintet, a grouping of five galaxies that appear close to each other on the sky, and hear from a LightSound device, which converts light into sound so that blindness is no longer a barrier to the experience of astronomy.

Engage your creative side as you craft your own luminary bags. What celestial wonders will you light up in the night sky? The possibilities are as vast as the cosmos itself!
