America declared its independence from England on July 2, 1776. John Adams pushed for that date to become America’s Independence Day. That didn’t happen, but a new event inaugurated in 2024, the Red, White, & Blue To-Do, takes back that date with pomp and fanfare that brings together museums, historic sites and businesses in and around Philadelphia’s Historic District. For the third annual event in 2026, expect a festive parade, freedom celebrations, concerts, games, restaurant specials, extended hours at attractions and museums, and more.
Where: Various locations including the National Constitution Center, 525 Arch Street
