Philly 250

Presented by Independence Blue Cross, Philly Fair 250 is a three-day festival celebrating Philadelphia's rich culture, history, and innovation in honor of America's 250th Anniversary. Day 1 kicks off in the Centennial District of Fairmount Park with live performances including Unscripted Jazz, Taiko Drummers, and local talent across two stages, alongside interactive exhibits and activities from cultural institutions such as the Shofuso Japanese Cultural Center, the American Swedish Historical Museum, the Philadelphia Zoo, and more. Guests can enjoy a culinary journey with food trucks representing flavors from the original 13 colonies, a hot air balloon experience with panoramic views of the Philadelphia skyline, trapeze lessons, and a Kids World zone featuring a mobile zip-line. The evening concludes with a historically inspired fireworks display at 9:15 PM at Welsh Fountain, presented by the Science History Institute.
