Lights, Camera, Action! The 2024 BlackStar Film Festival in Philadelphia
Philly’s annual BlackStar Film Festival celebrates some of the world’s best and most creative Black, Brown and Indigenous voices in filmmaking and the visual arts.
The Oscar-qualifying fest — founded in 2012 — includes dozens of indie film screenings, live and virtual programming, artist panels, and, of course, parties.
The BlackStar Film Festival returns for its 13th year from August 1 to 4, 2024, taking place in-person at multiple venues across Philly, including the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, as well as online.
