Indigenous Peoples’ Day Philly

The Center for Peace & Global Citizenship (CPGC) and the Race & Ethnicity Education Office (REEO) invites members of the Haverford College community to join us in experiencing the 9th Annual Philadelphia Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration! Transportation to the event by HC van will be provided!
Monday, October 13th is Indigenous People's Day. In Philadelphia, an Indigenous led non-profit, IPD Philly, will be holding a cultural festival in Shackamaxon Park from 10:30am-5pm to celebrate and honor this holiday. There will be rappers, poets, art, dancers, clothing, jewelry, food and more! This event will celebrate the people's of Lenapehoking, Turtle Island, and Abya Yala.
Participation in the event is free. You may like to bring money to make personal purchases from vendors. Check out IPD Philly's press release for full event details!
The van will be leaving from the South Lot at 12:00 p.m. and returning by 4:00 p.m.
This opportunity is open to all students and employees of Haverford College.
