HARLEM SAMBA / PHILLY SALSA

Curated by Grammy-nominated musician Edmar Castañeda, Harlem Samba/Philly Salsa features two Latino dance/music traditions that blossomed to two separate cities in the 20th century: Samba in Harlem, and Salsa in Philadelphia, and celebrates the cultural legacy of the Brazilian and Puerto Rican residents responsible for cultivating and sustaining these traditions.

(V) EAC’s VOCES series spotlights a different facet of Latin American culture and traditions each season. This year's VOCES Series will feature artists and traditions of the African Diaspora in Latin America, showcasing music, dance, and storytelling.
