It is an apt historical moment to affirm the creative labor within Taller walls. The 16 diverse artists from this exhibition, Hands At Work, Los Artistas de Taller, are staff members from Taller Puertorriqueño and its partnership with Photography Without Borders. All the artists and makers have a rich perspective rooted in lived experiences as people from the Fairhill Neighborhood, people of color navigating this country, and people with a wealth of professional experience.

The exhibition Hands At Work, Los Artistas de Taller, highlights our practices and celebrates the collective spirit that sustains our mission. It is a gesture of visibility, pride, and presence, reflecting the creative force shaping our organizations and communities. It reminds us that our work and the people behind it carry meaning far beyond the roles we fill.

Taller is an arts organization founded by artists, teachers, and professionals who believe that teaching creative skills to youth and their members will result in a community that is engaged with its world, proud of its heritage, and enriches its community with their work. Photography Without Borders is an organization that teaches storytelling through the lens of photography to young adults.

We welcome you to the exhibition to get to know us better through what we do. The exhibition showcases paintings, photography, textile art, installations, and drawings from a group representing each organization and their values.
