Freedom & Sacrifice in Our Beloved Struggle, A Tribute to Martin Luther King Jr's Life with Mother Bethel AME Church

A two-day event held April 17–18, 2026 at Mother Bethel AME Church in Philadelphia, presented by the Saturday Free School for Philosophy & Black Liberation. The event features dramatic performances and panel discussions honoring MLK's legacy, exploring themes of freedom, sacrifice, democracy, and the ongoing struggle against white supremacy.

The April 18th event is called "Can America Move Beyond White Supremacy? King Speaks to Freedom Fighters Today"

It will include a panel discussion followed by a townhall on "Renewing the Struggle for Democracy in a Time of War and Chaos: Our Moral Responsibility" — running 10 am–5 pm on Saturday, April 18.
