The Movement Blueprint: What Successful Change-Makers Do Differently
There are plenty of ways to “Be the Change” as Gandhi has said, but what are the tools that successful change-makers use? Join us for this workshop in identifying strengths, building collaboration and exploring avenues around obstacles in ways that make sense.
Six key elements are reflected in successful change movements throughout history, from women’s suffrage to civil rights to gay rights. Heather Shafter identified these SACRED elements after co-writing the memoir of lifelong peace and justice activist, Libby Frank, former Executive Director of WILPF U.S. Section. This workshop helps participants apply these elements to their own goals.
Facilitator: Heather Shafter is the co-author of Life of Libby: Chasing Peace & Justice with Humor, Guts, & Passion about lifelong peace and justice activist, Libby Frank. Heather began her activist journey as a college intern with the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, then spent over a decade as a member and leader in the Philadelphia branch. Heather later founded 3P Allies to help people and organizations strategically move their missions forward. She continues to explore change-maker journeys on her Chasing Peace & Justice Substack.
The workshop is sponsored by Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, Greater Philadelphia Branch and 3P Allies
