Equipped with curiosity, humor, and a deceptive lightness, veteran filmmaker Ralph Arlyck sets out to reckon with the particularities, absurdities, and indignities of aging. Through a series of lively, unguarded visits with friends and neighbors, as well as reflections on his own life, relationships, environs, and health, Arlyck pursues a frank exploration of death and loneliness, but also the pleasures of being alive. The director’s first feature since the award-winning Following Sean (2006) expresses how it feels to look back on your own life, to contemplate your place in an ever-changing world, and what to make of the time that remains.
