Peter Chawaga

Peter Chawaga is the editor of Global Philadelphia’s Emerging International Journalist Program. He is tasked with managing the flow of original written and multimedia content for GPA’s International Magazine by assigning and editing articles to a team of local freelance and staff journalists. His managerial role entails identifying the stories that are most important to Philadelphia’s international community and making sure those stories are told in accurate, compelling and relevant ways.
Peter also contributes editorial content, from features on the city’s universal artistic and cultural programs to global conversations with local institutional leaders.
Prior to his arrival at Global Philadelphia, Peter held several reporting positions with local and international publications. Originally from Haverford, PA, Peter now lives in Center City.
