http://www.iacphila.org/ Founded in 1982, the Indochinese American Council (IAC) is a grassroots, community-based neighborhood organization for immigrants, refugees, and other minorities (African-American, African, Hispanic, Caribbean, Asian, European, etc.).
IAC's mission is to:
- Empower multi-racial, low-income, and at-risk minorities
- Promote racial harmony and cultural understanding through education, traditional arts, and personal interaction

Promote self-sufficiency through programs offering Core Education classes such as:
- English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Adult Basic Education
- Pre-GED and GED
- Traditional arts education
- Computer skills training
- After-school tutoring and enrichment classes
- Pre-employment training
- Internship placement
- Job placement
- Counseling
- Case management
- Referral services
- Translation and interpretation services
Staff members speak over 13 languages including Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Cambodian, Indonesian, Spanish, Russian, French, Creole, Arabic, and others.
