Conducting New Business Overseas
Posted on June 27, 2018
Article written by Kyle Purchase on behalf of Global Philadelphia Association
On June 6, 2018, the World Trade Center (WTC) of Greater Philadelphia announced that they will be conducting new overseas business development programs. The programs will be partnered with U.S. Strategic Ventures in order to achieve global marketing goals.
One of the greatest benefits that WTC of Greater Philadelphia shares with other world trade centers is the opportunity to help foreign companies do business with domestic U.S. companies. The Greater Philadelphia Region is the perfect location to launch a new product in the country.
To take advantage of this opportunity, and to be responsive to the many requests for assistance WTC of Greater Philadelphia receives, the organization recently introduced a new fee-based marketing program to assist international companies. The four characteristics of the program include:
- understanding the competitive marketplace
- evaluate the potential for their products
- identify prospective partners
- establish a sustainable revenue stream
The characteristics of this new program are similar to goals of Global Philadelphia Association's World Heritage City Project, in which both programs are focused on achieving sustainability goals as well as making connections and finding partners to create a bigger global community in Philadelphia.
WTC's new business development program is another example of an amazing opportunity for business leaders, both domestic and abroad, to connect and exchange ideas to promote their brand and to keep the city of Philadelphia thriving.
