The Global Philadelphia Association recognizes Rochelle “Chellie” Cameron for her stellar achievements in the field of corporate leadership. Chellie became Chief Executive Officer in January 2016 of the Philadelphia International Airport, and serves as the City’s chief aviation representative in local, state, national, and international affairs. Before this, Chellie spent 13 years with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). During her time here, she managed many financial and business departments at Headquarters and at both airports. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame and her MBA from Auburn University, and she is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealths of Pennsylvania and Virginia. Her experience also includes a seven-year service as an active duty officer in the United States Air Force and one year as an Air Force civilian employee.
Chellie came to Philadelphia in 2011 when she was named Deputy Director of Aviation, Finance, and Administration. She served on the Airport’s leadership team for the past five years, as from December 2014 to her appointment as CEO, she had been the Chief Operating Officer responsible for managing all day-to-day operations. She also oversees the management of over 800 Airport personnel. There is no shortage of accolades that Chellie merits not only for this work, but also for her many other endeavors.
