Edward Drinker Cope House

Description: The building at 2102 Pine Street, a unit in a group of stone row houses, was the home of Edward Drinker Cope from 1880 until his death in 1897. Cope was one of America’s most prolific and creative 19th-century geologists and paleontologists. He is credited with some 1,300 titles, and his entry in the National Academy of Science’s Biographical Memoir Series runs to 60 pages.
