Material Culture, Cedar Diaspora, and Norma’s Eastern Mediterranean Restaurant have joined forces with a fantastic lineup of musicians and dancers. Our culture owes much to the region devastated by the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria. We invite you to join us as we use our talents, gifts, and businesses to provide aid to the numerous victims and their families in Turkey and Syria.

Grab your garbage bags, pick up the recycling, and get ready to laugh and cheer as this repurposed circus turns trash into treasure! Featuring a variety of unique and daring circus acts, the show is a testament to the power of community and teamwork.

On April 27, NSC will host Global Tastes 2023, a benefit party whose proceeds will support services for immigrants and refugees in the Philadelphia area. Join us for a night of delicious food, music, and festivities to celebrate the immigrant community and NSC's legacy of providing critical services since 1922.

Global Tastes features culinary small bites from around the world, brought to us by Philadelphia's vibrant restaurant scene strengthened by immigrant chefs.

A full day program open to everyone about water as a lead up to the UN Water Conference 2023 in NYC March 22-24th, a mid-term review of the objectives of “Water for Sustainable Development (2018-2028) hosted by Tajikistan and the Netherlands. 

Friends and colleagues of all ages are invited to walk downstream along the Schuylkill River trail, starting at the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center. Along the way, participants will be recorded answering a series of questions about the river, to give voice to all living things and how much we depend on the river and the river depends on us.

Returning together is optional.

Join educators from Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture on March 7 & 28, April 25, and May 23 for a series of bilingual storytimes in Arabic & English! After storytime, stay for playtime. Read, sing, and dance with us while building language skills! The event is intended for children 6 and under and their caregivers.
