Keystone State Boychoir and Pennsylvania Girlchoir are excited to bring the gift of song to the Roxborough community! Join us for Sunday in the Park, a FREE performance at Gorgas Park. Keystone State Boychoir and Pennsylvania Girlchoir are part of Commonwealth Youthchoirs, a nonprofit children's choral organization of almost 800 youth, whose home is in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, where we strive to not only be a part of the community, but to enrich the neighborhood through song and access to the arts for its youth.

On Saturday night, Sept. 28, at 7pm, Mighty Writers will be hosting a talk with Michael Barbaro, the popular host of the New York Times' podcast, The Daily. Mr. Barbaro will be talking about how he puts the podcast together every day under intense deadline pressure, the state of journalism in general and life at the New York Times.

Mr. Barbaro's talk is the centerpiece of MW's MightyFest Weekend Festival, which also features a literacy carnival for kids and a gospel breakfast at Girard College.

Join Fleisher and the official Día de los Muertos committee Calaca Flaca (Skinny Skeleton) in November as we hold our fifth Día de los Muertos celebration. With a theme of the Mayan Afterworld, it begins with a series of workshops focused on the traditional Mexican holiday and concludes with two altar celebrations, a vigil, and a procession through South Philadelphia. All events listed below are free and open to the public and held at Fleisher unless otherwise noted. Free registration is required for all workshops.
