"Wister and More!" Presents Mélomanie Harpsichord Quintet

The next concert in The German Society of Pennsylvania's 2012/13 “Wister and More!” will present Mélomanie Harpsichord Quintet: Kimberly Reighley, flutes; Tracy Richardson, harpsichord; Donna Fournier, viola da gamba; Douglas McNames, cellos and special guest, Elizabeth Field, violins.
Mélomanie’s early music programming highlights Baroque and early Classical music performed on period instruments. Their contemporary repertoire features works from the 20th and 21st Centuries, including world premieres written especially for Mélomanie.
Their program will include: Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber: Sonata VI in C Minor for violin and basso continuo, Paul Hindemith: Eight Pieces for Solo Flute, J. S. Bach: Sonata in D Major, BWV 1028 for gamba and obbligato harpsichord, Anthony Mosakowski: Menuet-Fantaisie (2012) - World Premiere, Heinrich Romberg: Trio: Intermezzo concertant, Op. 7 for flute, violin and cello.

Tickets may be purchased online, by calling 215-627-2332, or at the door 30 minutes before the concert. Following the concert, there will be a reception in the Society’s Ratskeller with coffee and cakes and an opportunity to meet the artists.
