Real Philly History, Real Fast

Tuesday, February 8, 2022 - 1:00pm Join us for a conversation between Jim Murphy, author of Real Philly History, Real Fast, and Temple University's Klein College of Media and Communication Professor Christopher Malo. They will discuss Murphy's book, an amusing and informative insider's guide to the Philadelphia history you don't know, and highlight the city's interesting oddities and fascinating facts.
About the speakers:
A longtime resident of Philadelphia, Jim Murphy is a certified tour guide who does frequent in-person and online presentations on “The Amazing Success of William Penn.” A copywriter and former creative director at Devon Direct Marketing and Advertising, he has owned a marketing communications business since 2004 and was the editor of Choices, an award-winning magazine published by the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union.
Christopher Malo is the editor and program manager for PhiladelphiaNeighborhoods.com. He is the public face of Philadelphia Neighborhoods, connecting with community and media partners, bringing their perspectives to bear on the reporting that appears on PhiladelphiaNeighborhoods.com.
