A Photo-Tale of Two Cities

In collaboration with Citizen’s Diplomacy International of Philadelphia, University of the Arts, Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts and Time-Light Art Group, OACCE presents a photographic cultural exchange between Philadelphia and its Sister City, Tianjin, China.

A Photo-tale of Two Cities— Philadelphia and Tianjin Sister Cities Photography Exhibition is a joint presentation by the photographers of the long-time Sister Cities of Philadelphia and Tianjin, China. The images featured are of the citizens, by the citizens and for the citizens of these two cities aimed at promoting cultural interaction and discourse facilitated through art.

The featured work by 40 photographers will display powerful images of everyday life in the two cities, separated by thousands of miles yet united by their friendship. A display of approximately 100 photographs by students of both Philadelphia and Tianjin will be showcased on the fifth floor of City Hall starting March 27, 2017. The multi-site exhibition will be featured at City Hall and the University of the Arts to highlight the creativity and vitality of the Sister Cities and their relevance to city life.
