Philadelphia International Medicine (PIM), Temple University Health System and Bermuda College are collaborating to expand the clinical experiences for the nursing students.
PIM will host the first class of the recently launched nursing program at Bermuda College, who will come to Philadelphia from Sept. 23 to Oct. 4 as part of their clinical skills training. During their two-week stay, the students will attend lectures at Temple University Hospital on topics including
- nursing education in the hospital setting;
- organ transplant education;
- mentorships in the cardiac intensive care unit, the emergency department;
- maternity;
- operating theater, cardiac cath lab and international radiology;
- attend a luncheon with Temple University nursing students;
- participate in lectures on quality and core measures;
- and attend a luncheon with hospital leadership.
The students also will attend a medical simulation lab in which they will participate in computer-generated programs that run through different medical emergencies.
