Join together as a community to observe Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day and to pay tribute.
April 2023 marks the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising which was the biggest armed act of Jewish resistance during WWII and the first uprising that occurred in a city in occupied Europe. The ceremony will include a candle lighting, music, readings and prayers to commemorate the six million Jews who perished in the Shoah and honor the survivors living in our communities. Among our special guests will be Archbishop Nelson J. Perez, Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
This program is hosted in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation, Association of Jewish Holocaust Survivors of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and the Holocaust Awareness Museum.
