"The Michelangelo Quartet was formed in 2002 by four like-minded musicians: distinguished soloists, chamber musicians and teachers who shared an irresistible desire to play chamber music with one another.

Featuring the great Japanese-born violist Nobuko Imai—“one of the most outstanding viola players of our time” (The Herald)—this international foursome has won critical acclaim for its collective virtuosity, wisdom, musicality and intensity of feeling, all of which will be on display in a PCMS debut program that features one of Haydn’s most sublime late quartets.

Haydn: Quartet in G Major, Op. 77, No. 1
Shostakovich: Quartet No. 3, Op. 73
Beethoven: Quartet in E Minor, Op. 59, No. 2"

Concert is available by subscription only at this point. Single tickets go on sale August 1st by phone (215.569.8080), online or in person at 1528 Walnut Street, Suite 301.
