Inaugural LeBow Inclusive Impact Day

Date:
Friday, May 13, 2022 - 9:00am - 6:00pm Location:
Gerri C. Elbow Hall
3220 Market Street
Philadelphia United States
See map: Google Maps
BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) entrepreneurs have historically experienced barriers in access to capital even though small businesses and business creation are the front-runners of the American economy.
The challenges that work at deterring BIPOC entrepreneurs are the result of unconscious biases and systemic inequities that have designed an immense racial wealth gap, and in turn are holding our economy back from attaining greater financial capital. These barriers make it difficult for BIPOC entrepreneurs to gain access to influential social and personal networks.
Join Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business for our Inaugural LeBow Inclusive Impact Day. We have curated a panel of business leaders from the community to partake in an in-depth conversation to address how the University as a whole can build a strong relationship with small businesses and business creation. The dialogue will examine the challenges that BIPOC business owners face, share their triumphs and provide advice to students, alumni, staff and faculty on navigating the entrepreneurial framework.
