The Head of the Schuylkill Regatta is one of the nation's premier rowing events that occurs annually in Philadelphia, a location that is regarded as the home of American rowing. 6,500+ athletes are expected to cross the finish line of the 2.5-mile scenic course. More than 150 high schools and colleges hailing from Massachusetts to northern Virginia areas will participate along with colleges, universities and high schools from across Philadelphia and New Jersey. This year scholastic and masters crews from Europe are on board and excited to compete in Philadelphia.

College crews race on Saturday along with the majority of elite and masters rowers, while high schools, and other elite, masters and veteran rowers race on Sunday. Spectators line the banks of the 2.5-mile course to cheer on their favorite team and enjoy the festive atmosphere that includes food, music, retail vendors and two full days of top rowing competition.
