Citizen Diplomat Academy presents Youth Virtual Exchange program

Tuesday, August 3, 2021 - 10:00am - Tuesday, August 24, 2021 - 11:30am A free, virtual, international exchange program for high school and university students in Philadelphia and abroad who are interested in addressing the world’s most pressing challenges. The Citizen Diplomat Academy introduces students to new friends internationally. Students learn to be a Citizen Diplomat and apply the core skills of diplomacy, cross-cultural dialogue, STEM entrepreneurship and social innovation from a rotating group of instructors from the top universities, start-up businesses, social innovation labs, and cultural institutions in Philadelphia and around the world.
This free 4-week virtual program is a commitment of 90-minutes of 'live' learning on Zoom for 4 sessions and 2 hours of activities done on your own time, like chatting, blogging, watching videos, and more.
**This event is for High School Students who live in Greater Philadelphia, Southeastern NJ, or Greater Wilmington.The deadline to apply is July 30th.

How To Succeed As A STEM Innovator: Philadelphia - Open International Exchange If you love science, technology, engineering, and math innovations, this exchange will give you a behind-the-scenes look at Philadelphia's expanding innovation ecosystem, in places like Pennovation and the Science Center. Best of all you will personally hear from Philadelphia's STEM innovators who turned their inventions into businesses and are saving lives around the world through their own technology and scientific discoveries and who are leaders in social entrepreneurship. Experts at the Dialogue Institute will guide you through how to have informed conversations, examine and respond to stereotypes and bias in STEM fields and speak like a leader.
Dates: Tuesdays August 3, 10, 17, 24
Times: 10 AM - 11:30 AM EST Participants:
Age: 14-18, High School level, 25 from Philadelphia, US / 25 from outside the U.S.

How to Succeed as a Social Innovator: Philadelphia - Open International Exchange If you want to see the world improved through art and music, politics and law, or community leadership, this exchange teaches you how to use dialogue to address worldwide challenges and other UN Sustainable Development Goals. Students will personally hear from Philadelphia and international innovators who are working with their communities to make our world a more peaceful and prosperous place for everyone. Experts at the Dialogue Institute will guide you through how to have informed conversations, examine and respond to stereotypes and bias in your community, and speak like a leader. Dates: Wednesdays August 4, 11, 18, 25
