Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, Philadelphia
United States

Celebrate Peace for UN70 in Philadelphia is hosted by Harmony For Peace Foundation. The United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia will collaborate as the project partner, with many key organizations from the area joining in the event. The project welcomes support and sponsorship from corporations and individuals.

This event will feature a matinee concert, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the United Nations, inviting world-renowned conductor Johan de Meij (Composer of “Lord of Rings”) and orchestra, along with guest performers from Japan and the Philippines and local choir groups. Prior to the concert, there will be a Peace Forum and Interfaith Meeting, ""The Art of Co-existence,"" with an invited speaker and members addressing the intense complexities surrounding tolerance and respect.
