http://ihousephilly.org/globalgala/ International House Philadelphia invites Greater Philadelphia to their 52nd Global Gala:Treasures of Armenia, to celebrate the people, culture, art, and cuisine of Armenia, and to honor their contemporary cultural and business ties with the region.
Each year, the gala chooses a different nation to honor and this year it celebrates Armenian traditions and the accomplishments of its people. Guests will enjoy live music by The Steve Vosbikian Ensemble as well as a range of Armenian delicacies. Treasures of Armenia will also include an art exhibit, open to the public, on display from April 3 – June 30, 2013.
The exhibit will include art by Hratch Babikian, Sophia Chitjian, Ara Zeibanian and others. A portion of the proceeds from the Global Gala will benefit various Armenian students and organizations including students who are residents of IHP, a housing project in Vanadzor and the Armenian Sisters Academy, the only Armenian school in the Greater Philadelphia area.
