The Social Entrepreneurship Summit is a three-part event:
Changemaker Challenge Pitch Competition (5:00-5:30pm)
The Changemaker Challenge, part of Temple University's Social Entrepreneurship program, is a workshop series and culminating pitch competition which offers guidance, resources, and seed funding to ideas and social impact ventures aiming to create positive change in the world.
Changemaker Showcase & Networking (5:30-6:00pm)
An opportunity to speak with organizations and individuals making a difference, and explore opportunities to collaborate. Featuring unique technology so you can network with Changemaker Challenge finalists and organizations from Temple University and the Philadelphia area.
Changemakers in Action: An Expert Panel (6:00-6:45pm)
Philadelphia ranks as the poorest major American city. The move for communities to become more self-reliant in building prospering, equal and equitable societies has only increased over the past year with the deterioration of international trade relationships, the decline in economic and social coordination within the U.S., and the rampaging COVID-19 pandemic. How can Philadelphia leverage its unique strengths and resources to better provide all of its citizens the basic human rights of food, shelter, understanding, empathy and opportunity?
Changemaker Showcase & Networking (6:45-7:30pm)
After the panel, revisit our showcase organizations and individuals, plus enjoy the opportunity to meet one-on-one (virtually) with the panelists.
