The World Affairs Council of Philadelphia's 2017 Summer Global Leadership Seminar, a week-long summer institute open to all rising high school sophomores, juniors and seniors, will explore how the Trump administration is reshaping U.S. foreign policy—and how these changes are reverberating around the world. Through guest lectures and interactive workshops, students will examine the new direction of U.S. foreign policy under the leadership of President Trump. Additionally, students will take part in a half-day simulation during which they will role-play the decision-making processes of foreign policy leaders. The Seminar’s fifth-day field trip to Washington, D.C., offers students the exciting opportunity to meet with and hear from foreign diplomats, as well as U.S. foreign policy officials. Logistical Details and Registration Information This year’s Seminar will be held at Temple University’s Center City Campus from Monday, July 10 to Thursday, July 13, 2017 (9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily). Additionally, on Friday, July 14 (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.), the Seminar's fifth-day offers a full-day field trip to Washington, D.C. The cost to participate in the 2017 Summer Global Leadership Seminar, including the fifth-day field trip to Washington, D.C., is $195 per student and includes all daily workshops and activities, as well as field trip transportation, tour fees and lunch in Washington, D.C.
