U.S. SQUASH and Drexel University work in close partnership to host the U.S. Open Squash Championships in Philadelphia. Drexel University hosted the 2011 U.S. Open, and offers extensive experience with a variety of major national and international events.
The U.S. Open is hosted in Drexel University’s Daskalakis Athletic Center, an urban collegiate athletic facility that is transformed into a world class showcase venue complete with an all-glass professional squash court, audiovisual displays, live multimedia capabilities, a pro shop, tiered stands and VIP viewing galleries, and an interactive expo area for the championships.
Founded in 1891 in Philadelphia, Drexel is a top-ranked, comprehensive university recognized for its focus on experiential learning through co-operative education, its commitment to cutting-edge academic technology and its growing enterprise of use-inspired research.
