- Architecture: historic preservation, affordable housing, educational and cultural facilities, religious properties, and streetscape design
- Planning and Urban Design: neighborhood revitalization, transit-oriented downtown development, and regional growth management and transportation planning
- Historical Services: historic research, historic building restorations, and historic rehabilitation tax credit certifications
Since 2004, KSK has also worked in China with local government and private developers on projects that incorporate planning, urban design, and historical architecture design and rehabilitation. The firm designed Beijing’s Huairou New Town Plan, and has also worked in Tianjin and Shandong.
