This year marks Philadelphia’s 5th anniversary as a World Heritage City!
We are celebrating World Heritage Week with five days of virtual festivities, May 26-30. There will be opportunities to win prizes, see virtual performances, and share pictures of your favorite Philly landmarks on social media.
Each day of World Heritage Week will feature one of the World Heritage City Project’s missions.
Tuesday, May 26th
Building World Heritage City Awareness and Ownership
- Help spread the word about Philly’s World Heritage City designation by placing a World Heritage City seal in the window of your business! Follow GPA’s social media accounts and request your seal on Tuesday, May 26th!
Wednesday, May 27th
Preserving and Celebrating Historical and Cultural Assets
- Win a free Philadelphia Heritage Map featuring the city’s National Historic Landmarksby posting a picture of your favorite National Historic Landmark on social media using #NHLinPHL on Wednesday, May 27th!
Thursday, May 28th
Extending Philadelphia's Global Reach
- See a live-streamed musical performance by Philly Jazz legend Sherry Wilson Butler at 12:00 PM!
- Follow GPA’s social media accounts to learn about our Sustainable Development Goal Campaignand meet the local women working toward Goal #5 Gender Equality on Thursday, May 28th!
