Wistar at the Mütter Museum

The Wistar Institute and the Mütter Museum present a Wistar pop-up exhibit followed by a program discussing Philadelphia as the birthplace of American Medicine.

Speakers include Dr. Stanley Plotkin, CPP Fellow, Wistar Emeritus Professor, and developer of several vaccines including rabies, rubella and rotavirus, and Anna Dhody, Director of the Mütter Institute and Curator of the Mütter Museum. They will discuss the connection between Wistar and Mütter during the 19th century and how anatomy specimens from the past can inform the present, as well as vaccine development and what the future holds.

This event is co-sponsored by the Mütter Museum and The Wistar Institute and costs $5 per person. Registration is required.
