Wharton Small Business Development Center Presents Dr. Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu: Forum on Business Opportunities in Africa

 The Wharton School Small Business Development Center welcomes Dr. Kingsley Chiedu Moghalu, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria to discuss opportunities for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the growth and development of the Nigerian economy -- especially opportunities for trade and investment. He will also address the major initiatives he has developed to provide technical assistance to induce the banking sector to lend to SMEs. Registration is required. This event is free. 

Dr. Moghalu is the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in charge of Financial System Stability Directorate. After being appointed by the President of Nigeria in November 2009, he has executed several extensive reforms in Nigeria's banking sector. He is a former United Nations official, member of the Board of Directors, the Monetary Policy Committee, the Committee of Governors of the CBN, and National Economic Management Team. Dr. Moghalu is the author of two books Global Justice (2008) and Rwanda's Genocide (2005), and published numerous articles on law, development, political economy, and public policy around the world.
