Join Project for Nuclear Awareness, Drexel Office of International Affairs, UN Association of Greater Philadelphia, Alliance for a Sustainable Future and Physicians for Social Responsibility in welcoming Dr. William H. Hartung, Center for International Policy and Dr. Jacqueline Reich, Chestnut Hill College. Drs. Hartung and Reich will discuss the nuclear threat and prospects for nuclear disarmament.

Dr. William Hartung is the director of the Arms and Security Project at the Center for International Policy and a Research Fellow at the New America Foundation. He is an expert on weapons proliferation, military spending, nuclear weapons, and national security strategy. His most recent book, Prophets of War, is a case study of what we need to change in defense spending and foreign policy.

Dr. Jacqueline Reich a professor of political science at Chestnut Hill College. She has focused on International Relations and American Foreign Policy, and has an important article in The Non-Proliferation Review, Fall 2011, on enforcing the vision of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) on nuclear weapons disarmament. She'll discuss the NPT, and prospects for nuclear disarmament in the world.
