The National Marian Anderson Museum and Historical Society, in partnership with The National Park Service & Independence National Historical Park, will honor our beloved Marian Anderson, the great Lady from Philadelphia who changed the face of the Nation with the help of First Lady Roosevelt, Mr. Harold Ikes of the State Department and Mr. Walter White President of the National NAACP, who supported her in history making moment in concert at the Lincoln Memorial 80 years ago in 1939 to an audience of 75,000 men, women and children of many races and backgrounds.

Join us as we pay tribute to one of the most meaningful moments in our nation's history. Over 80 years ago, the great Marian Anderson gave the concert of a century on this steps of the Lincoln Memorial on Easter Sunday in 1939, which proved to be one of the most dynamic historical events in the United States, bringing all races and ages together on that fateful day.

We will celebrate through historical remarks, beautiful musical tribute, film remembrance, treasured artifacts and more.
