Don't miss an extraordinary evening of music with oud virtuoso, composer, and two-time Grammy nominee Rahim AlHaj. Letters from Iraq brings the untold stories of war and its consequences into vivid focus, as AlHaj and guest musicians weave together a stunning musical portrait of devastation, defiance, and redemption.

Want more? Join us at 6 pm for a pre-show exhibition. Local Iraqi artist and architect Mayyadah Alhumssi will exhibit her paintings in the East Alcove of International House. As a refugee from both Syria and Iraq, Mayyadah offers a personal window into the beauty and complexity of Iraq, providing continuity and connections for other Iraqi refugees here through the preservation of valued stories and cultural symbols.
